Release on GitHubUpdates and setup
This version arrives with the update check switched on. About once a day, while the app is running, it asks the website whether a newer version exists. Nothing downloads or installs unless you accept it. Switch it off under Settings > About > Check for updates automatically. If you never touched that switch in 1.0, this update turns the check on; if you turned it off yourself, it stays off.
Tools the app finds on your Mac now connect on their own. Codex, Cline and any tool you add yourself stay off until you switch them on. Anything you switched off in 1.0 stays off.
The first time you open this version, one card shows which tools are connected, offers to turn on Codex, and tells you that macOS will ask for Automation the first time you jump to a session.
Settings > Agents offers to turn Codex on when it is installed but switched off.
Sessions and controls
Claude Code sessions with no hooks installed now appear in the panel and join Needs you when one is waiting. Without hooks the app cannot read the conversation, so these cards show no preview and you answer in the terminal.
Archive a session card and you can undo it. The row of small buttons at the foot of a card now has space between them.
Point at the Working, Pending or Backlog chip and it says what the word means.
Fixes
A permission rule 1.0 could write when you clicked ALWAYS left Codex unable to load its configuration. ALWAYS now appears only where the rule can be written safely, and while Codex is switched on in Settings > Agents this version removes a rule 1.0 left behind, keeping a copy of the file beside it as config.toml.cowork-island-<id>.bak, which you can delete.
In the window where you activate a Pro key, the way back is easy to see, the cursor shows in the key field, and the message when a key does not activate says more.
